Aim: Improve surveillance and program monitoring methods to estimate, among key populations, size and location, coverage of prevention and treatment interventions, and HIV prevalence and incidence. To monitor progress towards stigma reduction targets.

Involved in HIV epidemiology, prevention, and implementation research focused on the epidemiology, human rights contexts, and effective interventions for gay men and other men who have sex with men, transgender women, and female sex workers



Co-chair: Dr Sharon Weir (Research Assistant Professor), University of North Carolina
Extensive field of work includes site based interventions, and comparing respondent driven and venue based sampling methods



Dr James Hargreaves, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine
Research focus in social epidemiology and public health evaluation with a particular interest in the socioeconomic epidemiology of HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis.



Dr Elizabeth Fearon, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine
Conducting research on the epidemiology of HIV/AIDS in sub-Saharan Africa among young women, female sex workers and gay men and men who have sex with men.
