Routine Case Based Surveillance

Aim: Identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of Case Based Surveillance and Patient Monitoring Systems, inform the development of WHO CBS guidelines, and develop models for conducting or improving HIV CBS

Extensive field of work in national and international public health surveillance.



Co-chair: Professor Andrew Boulle | University of Cape Town
Has a special interest in context-appropriate routine information and monitoring systems, and observational methods in HIV cohort studies



Co-chair: Dr Jim Todd | London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine
Conducts research on the impact of anti-retroviral therapy on mortality and provides training in the analysis of routinely collected HIV data



Richelle Harklerode | University of California, San Francisco
Provides technical advice on HIV/AIDS case based surveillance in key African countries



Dr Brian Rice | London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine
